Understanding the Hikvision NVR Series

🏠 Ultra Series — Residential to Mid-Commercial
The Ultra Series covers 4, 8, 16 and 32-channel configurations with PoE built in on most models. Running H.265+ compression and AcuSense AI, these are the workhorses of the Hikvision range — reliable, straightforward to configure, and suited to home installs through to small-to-medium commercial sites. 🧠 DeepinMind Series — GPU-Powered AI Recording
DeepinMind NVRs integrate high-performance GPU processing directly into the recorder, enabling facial recognition and detection, perimeter protection and deep-learning analytics at the NVR level. Available in perimeter protection and facial recognition variants, with the 96000 series supporting both simultaneously. Suited to commercial sites, retail environments and multi-camera deployments where on-recorder AI processing and facial recognition are operational requirements. Select DeepinMind models also support AcuSeek natural language search.

⚡ VPro Series — AcuSeek & AcuSearch Across 8 to 32 Channels
VPro Series NVRs bring Hikvision’s most advanced footage retrieval to commercial installs. Available in 8, 16 and 32-channel configurations, all with AcuSearch and AcuSeek built in. AcuSearch allows fast target-filtered searches across all connected cameras. AcuSeek goes further — type a plain description such as “person near the gate” or “white van” and the system locates matching footage across all cameras in seconds, powered by Hikvision’s Guanlan AI model. Note: AcuSeek and AcuSearch require connected cameras to support Hikvision AcuSense technology with AcuSearch enabled.
