📦 How will my order be shipped?

 

All orders are shipped using trusted freight, courier, and other services, selected based on the nature of your order, the shipping option you choose, and what we consider the most suitable method for timely and reliable delivery.

Local pickup is not available.

Depending on the items ordered and your delivery location, we may be able to offer a range of premium freight services — such as same-day delivery, delivery to upper-level offices, or other specialised handling.

If you think your order may require these services, please contact us in advance to discuss options, pricing, and availability.

If suitable arrangements can be made, you should then select “Special Freight Handling – Charged + Invoiced Separately” at checkout.

 


 

📑 Shipping Arranged on Your Behalf

 

When you select a shipping option during checkout, you are authorising Comms Direct to arrange delivery on your behalf, as your agent.

We coordinate with trusted courier partners — both national and international — to deliver your goods using the method most suitable for your order.

The delivery options listed below reflect the services we can organise for you in this capacity.

Please note that in some cases, we may substitute the selected service with a more efficient and reliable alternative, as outlined below.

 


 

🎁 Free Shipping Eligibility

 

We currently offer free shipping for CCTV product orders over $275 (incl. GST).

This excludes cables, UPS devices, and other products not classified by us as CCTV equipment.

Free shipping eligibility is calculated automatically at checkout based on your cart contents.

If your order qualifies, the free shipping option will appear during checkout.

Comms Direct will select the most appropriate method of shipping at its sole discretion.

This may include services listed in this policy — such as Road Express or Tailgate Delivery — as well as other methods including Australia Post.

 


 

🚚 When will my order be shipped?

 

We pride ourselves on fast and efficient dispatch and delivery.

Most orders are shipped promptly once all items are available — often within the same or next business day.

However, dispatch timing may occasionally be affected by order complexity, courier scheduling, or warehouse volume.

We always aim to keep things moving swiftly and to keep you informed.

 


 

📦 Delivery Options

 

Standard Road Express (Default Paid Option)

  • Suitable for all items sold on our website – from compact accessories to large, bulky server racks.

  • For items over 30kg, you must provide unloading capability (e.g. forklift or suitable personnel).

  • Courier drivers are not permitted to manually lift items over 30kg.

  • Smaller parcels are delivered to your front door, reception, or ground floor, subject to access.

 

⚠️ If you can’t safely unload heavier items, please select Technology Road Express / Tailgate delivery required.

 

Technology Road Express / Tailgate Delivery Required

 

This premium service is ideal for large or heavy goods where unloading assistance is unavailable onsite.

  • Includes a hydraulic tail-lift to safely lower items from the truck.

  • Recommended for server racks, freestanding data cabinets, and fragile or oversized equipment.

  • Delivery is kerbside only, unless otherwise quoted and arranged.

 

Please note:

Comms Direct reserves the right, at its own expense, to substitute any nominated delivery service with an alternative method of freight or delivery, whether listed here or not.

This may occur if, in our sole discretion, the alternative is considered by us to be the most efficient and reliable way to fulfil your order.

 


 

✈️ Air Freight

 

We offer Air Express shipping for urgent domestic and international deliveries.

  • Not suitable for all items — especially battery-powered goods such as UPS systems

  • Always confirm eligibility and details with us in advance of placing orders where offered.

  • Timelines are based on carrier pickup, not order placement

  • Not available to all locations.

 


 

🌊 International Sea Freight

 

Sea freight is available by prior arrangement.

  • Incoterms must be confirmed in writing before placing an order

  • Comms Direct is not responsible for any delays caused by:

    manufacturing, loading, customs, quarantine, 3PL, labour shortages, government intervention, or any external conditions

 

  • The customer accepts full responsibility for all risks and costs associated with such delays.

 


 

⏱️ Delivery Timing & Delays

 

While we move quickly to dispatch your order, delivery times may occasionally vary due to:

  • Courier network congestion

  • Regional access or remote destinations

  • Weather disruptions or public holiday schedules

 

You’ll receive tracking details once your shipment is in transit.

 

Note: Orders are not dispatched on Gazetted Victorian or NSW public holidays.

Orders placed during these periods are processed the next business day (excluding our annual Christmas closure).

We also deliver to outer suburbs, farming communities, remote towns, island regions, and outback Australia.

In fact, if you’re in any part of the country, we’ll arrange the most reliable and efficient freight method for your location and your order.


 

🛡️ Delivery Timing, Risk and Insurance

 

If your delivery is time-sensitive, or any delay, loss, or damage — whether occurring before dispatch, during transit, or at any other stage — could result in consequential or other forms of liability, you must independently arrange appropriate insurance.

Comms Direct does not accept any liability for loss, delay, or damage howsoever caused, at any stage of the order fulfilment or delivery process, regardless of the shipping method used.
