What the Cameras See — 6MP WizSense With Smart Dual Light
The picture from each turret in the Dahua 8 channel CCTV kit is 6MP — 3288 by 1850 pixels — taken on a 1/2.7″ sensor through an F1.4, 2.8mm lens with a 110° by 58° view. Under a machinery shed’s eave, that takes in the concrete apron and the track leading up to the doors.
Each turret carries two lights, infrared and a warm white light, and both reach up to 30 m. Between detections it watches by infrared; when it picks up a person or vehicle, the warm light comes on and the picture turns to colour: the turret’s colour night vision, needing no other light (0 lux) inside that 30 m.
From the workshop wall at midday, a turret looks across a sunlit yard into the dark mouth of the open machinery shed. A wide dynamic range of 120 dB holds detail in both, so someone moving inside the doorway shows up as a person rather than a silhouette.
Hear What Happens — Built-in Microphone on Every Camera
If someone takes an angle grinder to the machinery shed’s padlock, the whine is on that turret’s recording: each of the eight turrets in the Dahua 8 channel CCTV kit has its own built-in microphone, and what it hears is saved with its video.

Eight PoE ports that follow IEEE 802.3af/at and one SATA bay fill the compact 1U case of the DHI-NVR4108HS-8P-AI/ANZ in the Dahua 8 channel CCTV kit.
Its eight channels each take cameras of up to 16MP, so the 6MP turrets sit inside their rating, and the recorder takes in up to 256 Mbps of video, or 180 Mbps with its own AI running.
On the recorder side, face detection and face recognition run on one channel, and the recorder’s own line-crossing and intrusion analysis on two, in addition to the tripwire and intrusion rules each turret runs itself.
Alerts Filtered to People and Vehicles — Smart AI Human and Vehicle Detection
On acreage, what you want to know about after dark is a person at the sheds or the fuel tank, or a vehicle coming up the track. Each turret’s SMD 4.0 classifies a moving target as a human or a vehicle, so the turret’s phone alerts can be filtered to people and vehicles.
